Working Together for Children

On behalf of the Trustees and myself, I would like to welcome you to Ad Astra. We are a growing multi-academy trust based in the North East of England. As a Trust we strongly believe in ‘maximising the togetherness’. Our schools learn and improve alongside one another with mutual support and respect. Our aim is to provide all our children with an innovative, first-class education to inspire them to achieve their full potential. The Latin phrase ‘Ad Astra’ means ‘to the stars’; our strapline “stars in the making” reflects an ambitious vision within each school community that every child and every staff member can be the best that they can be.  We want everyone to achieve their best within Ad Astra.

Our schools are vibrant, thriving communities where children are safe, happy and highly valued. As an inclusive Trust we work hard to ensure young people overcome any difficulties and barriers to learning. We work in partnership with parents, carers and the wider community, to ensure our children achieve positive outcomes at the end of their time with us. We equip them with the knowledge and personal attributes that will ensure that not only will the next stage in their educational journey be a positive one, but they have the fundamental stepping stones to lead a positive and successful life. We hope that their journey with us inspires them to develop a love of learning that will stay with them as they grow and mature.
